About The Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to support the deployment of critical AWS infrastructure for the Venmo Merchant Sandbox, enabling the launch of Pay with Venmo (PwV) and other merchant-facing capabilities in Q1. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on observability and automation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the infrastructure is production-ready by October 31, 2025, enabling application teams to deploy their workloads seamlessly. Responsibilities • Design and deploy scalable, secure, and reliable AWS infrastructure to support the Venmo Merchant Sandbox. • Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform, with a focus on observability and monitoring best practices. • Integrate DataDog for end-to-end monitoring, alerting, and operational visibility. • Collaborate with networking and application teams to ensure robust AWS networking and routing configurations. • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows to streamline infrastructure deployment and updates. • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and optimize system performance and reliability. Basic Qualifications • 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or a related field. • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly in networking, routing, and infrastructure design. • Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code. • Solid understanding of observability principles and experience with tools like DataDog, CloudWatch, or similar. • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices. • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams. • AWS certification (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer). • Experience supporting sandbox or test environments for large-scale applications. • Knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker, ECS, EKS) and microservices architecture. This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $46.67/hour - $62.22/hour Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K
