Sr. Network Observability Engineer SME ( Azure/GCP/OCI, Grafana, MSFT/GCP/OCI tooling) - Contract rate to candidate - $95-$110, FT salary is $185k - $200k plus bonus and other benefits Sr. Cloud Network Automation Engineer SME Key Responsibilities • Automation Framework Development: • Design, develop, and implement automation workflows using Ansible and Terraform to manage cloud networking resources in Azure and GCP . • Create reusable modules, playbooks, and templates to standardize network provisioning, configuration, and monitoring processes. • Cloud Networking Architecture: • Collaborate with cloud architects to design scalable, secure, and high-performance networking solutions for multi-cloud environmens • Automate the deployment and management of Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), subnets, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, and routing configurations. • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): • Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts to automate the provisioning and lifecycle management of cloud resources. • Ensure compliance with company policies, security standards, and industry best practices. • CI/CD Integration: • Integrate automation tools with CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous delivery of network changes. • Implement version control and testing strategies to ensure code quality and reliability. • Troubleshooting and Optimization: • Monitor and troubleshoot automated workflows to identify and resolve issues quickly. • Optimize existing automation processes to improve performance and reduce operational overhead. • Collaboration and Mentorship: • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, security, and application development, to align automation efforts with business goals. • Mentor junior engineers and share expertise to build a culture of automation excellence. • Documentation and Reporting: • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all automation workflows, scripts, and processes. • Provide regular updates and reports on automation progress, challenges, and outcomes. Required Qualifications • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). • Experience: • 5+ years of experience in cloud automation, with a focus on Azure and GCP environments. • Proven expertise in using Ansible and Terraform for automating cloud infrastructure. • Hands-on experience with cloud networking concepts such as VPCs, subnets, firewalls, NAT gateways, and load balancers. • Technical Skills: • Proficiency in writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible. • Strong understanding of Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and GCP Deployment Manager. • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. • Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell. • Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS) and security best practices. • Certifications (Preferred): • Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-305). • Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud Network Engineer). • HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate. Desired Qualifications • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and service mesh architectures. • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Stackdriver. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
