We’re looking for a hands‑on Azure Security Engineer to join our Cloud Security Engineering team. In this role, you’ll define, implement, and mature cloud security controls that protect a complex and fast‑evolving hybrid cloud environment.
What You’ll Do
• Implement and enhance cloud security policies, controls, and automation frameworks.
• Ensure all cloud services meet configuration, compliance, and risk‑management standards.
• Champion a DevSecOps culture, supporting development teams with IAM, compliance, and security best practices.
• Build tools and reporting that provide visibility into cloud accounts, instances, and security posture.
• Stay current on cloud threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory requirements.
• Support proactive remediation of vulnerabilities and collaborate with security teams to implement preventative controls.
• Deliver and support data protection, encryption strategies, cloud logging, and monitoring best practices.
• Respond to cloud security incidents and help drive timely resolutions.
• Contribute to cloud migration governance to ensure workloads remain compliant.
Required Skills & Experience
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud, with bonus points for AWS or OCI exposure.
• Background in either engineering or operations of security tools.
• Experience with IAM, vulnerability management, data protection, logging/monitoring, network security, or encryption.
• Familiarity with CI/CD security, cloud automation, and provisioning tools.
• Understanding of container security, serverless security, and code orchestration.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash, Java).
• Excellent collaboration, communication, listening, and documentation skills.
• Ability to build, streamline, and mature processes and metrics.
Preferred Skills
• Understanding of NIST, PCI DSS, CIS Benchmarks, or similar frameworks.
• Experience in Architecture, Engineering, Compliance, Audit, Operations, or Risk roles.
• Knowledge of defensive controls (IPS, WAF, AV) and network & system attack vectors.
• Experience with Splunk or similar log-analysis tools.
• Prior experience responding to audits or remediation efforts.
• Deep expertise in at least one of: Network, Server, or Desktop engineering.
Education & Background
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field preferred.
• Certifications are encouraged (e.g., Azure, AWS, security, scripting/dev languages).
• 4+ years designing and supporting integrated technical solutions.
