We CGI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced GCP Solution Architect with strong expertise in design and architecture on Google Cloud. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building fault-tolerant, scalable solutions for multiple clients and will be responsible from sales to delivery pitch. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying cloud native solutions and also mentor existing CGI resources on multiple initiatives that are in different stages of implementation). This position is based in Lafayette, LA in a Hybrid working model. Your future duties and responsibilities Client Advisory & Consulting • Act as a trusted advisor to clients on cloud strategy, architecture, and modernization • Lead client workshops to assess current-state architecture and define future-state GCP solutions • Translate business objectives into cloud-native and hybrid GCP architectures • Provide architectural governance and ensure adherence to CGI and client standards Solution Architecture & Delivery • Design end-to-end GCP architectures covering compute, data, networking, security, and DevOps • Define cloud migration and modernization approaches (re-host, re-platform, re-architect) • Architect solutions using GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, VPC, IAM, and related services • Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements (security, performance, resilience, cost) • Review designs, code, and infrastructure for quality and best practices Presales & Thought Leadership • Support presales activities including solutioning, effort estimation, and proposal responses • Contribute to RFPs/RFIs, architecture decks, and client presentations • Provide technical leadership during bid pursuits and client demos • Contribute to CGI cloud accelerators, reference architectures, and best practices Governance, Security & Optimization • Define IAM models, security controls, logging, monitoring, and compliance frameworks • Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines • Drive cost optimization (FinOps) and operational excellence • Support audits, security reviews, and production readiness Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role At least 8+ years of IT experience with 3+ years of experience in Google Cloud Platform architecture/consulting consultant In-depth knowledge of: GCP Compute: Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run Data & Analytics: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL Networking & Security: VPC, IAM, Load Balancing, KMS Strong experience with Kubernetes, containers, and microservices Infrastructure as Code using Terraform Preferred Qualifications Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification - Nice to have Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud environments Exposure to regulated industries (Banking, Insurance, Healthcare, Government, Telecom) Experience with DevSecOps, SRE, or FinOps practices Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $80,600.00 - $178,500.00.
